Chris is a highly decorated instructor and leader whose talents have been thoroughly showcased in operations.  In recognition, he was appointed the inaugural Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Command Sergeant Major of the Afghan National Police (ANP) in Afghanistan. His inciteful and subtle application of emotional intelligence convinced senior Afghan police officers to integrate females into the ANP, a small but valuable contribution to the UK’s programme of global gender equality. 

Chris left the Army in 2023, a career that is depicted by two generations of soldiers and officers who have learnt from and benefitted from his professionalism, pride, and drive for betterment. His fine record of dedication, selflessness and leadership underpinned by courage; all devoted wholeheartedly to the Army and the communities it serves, in the best traditions of the Service.
